Richland police investigating Oct. 12 robbery reported in WSU Tri-Cities parking lot
RICHLAND, Wash. — The Richland Police Department is investigating a robbery that was reported to have occurred in the Washington State University Tri-Cities parking lot at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12.
A female student was allegedly accosted in the parking lot near the West and East buildings, 2710 University Drive, Richland. According to the report, a male suspect demanded the student’s money and iPod, the student turned over the items and was not injured.
Fred Miller, campus emergency management coordinator, was notified of the incident at about 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13. Miller said the matter has been referred to the Richland Police Department for investigation.
